To verify the bluetooth module on your board is working properly, use a free bluetooth sniffer app “Light Blue” available in both iOS and Android.

Download the free bluetooth sniffer app “Light Blue” to your device.

Make sure you do not have the Blunami app running in the background on your device (or any other device in the area).

Power up your board. Launch Light Blue. Verify that you can connect to your board, and that you can “interrogate” your board successfully.

If this works, then you have verified your smart device can connect to your board via bluetooth, and can read characteristics of the board.

If you have 2 boards that don’t seem to work properly simultaneously, do the following:

Power up 1 board. Launch Light Blue. Verify that you can connect to board1, and that you can “interrogate” board 1.

Power down board 1. Power up 2 board.

Launch Light Blue. Verify that you can connect to board2, and that you can “interrogate” the board 2.

Power up both boards.

Launch Light Blue. Verify that you can connect to board1 and board2, and that you can “interrogate” board1 and board2 simultaneously.

If you have a problem only when running 2 boards, one possible thing that could cause this is if the bluetooth modules on your boards both have the same unique identifier.
